· Synthesis and characterization of benzo[c]chromene derivatives catalyzed by in situ generated palladium nanoparticles in water.
· Domino Suzuki coupling oxa–Michael addition reactions were successfully exploited in the organic syntheses under ligand-free conditions.
· Caryl - Oalcoholic coupling was achieved to provide oxygen containing fused rings under dry conditions.
· ZnCl2 hydrate was developed as an alternate additive in place of CuI in annulation reactions.
· We have exploited various cross-couplings such Sonogashira cross-coupling, Heck reactions in the synthesis of many organic molecules.
· Wittig reaction was used to produce α,β-unsaturated carbonyl compounds.
· A variety of functionalities were transformed to others.
· Aserendipitous multicomponent reaction was discovered to obtain quinolines.
· An unprecedented double C-H insertion of triethylamine was observed.
· Copper powder catalyzed expeditious intramolecular C-O coupling of 2-iodoanilides was disclosed to afford quinolines.
