Dr. Sandipan Ray Choudhury graduated from Burdwan Raj College in 2007 and completed his Postgraduation (M.A. in English) from The University of Burdwan in 2009. He served as a part-time faculty at Burdwan Raj College for one academic session. Having cleared NET with JRF in 2012, he got registered as a Doctoral Researcher at The University of Burdwan in 2013, and was eventually awarded with the Ph.D. degree in 2018. The topic of his Ph.D. dissertation was "Exploring the Interface between Young Adult Texts and their Reception in Contemporary Urban Bengal, With Special Reference to Select Works of Satyajit Ray and J.K. Rowling." He joined Memari College as an Assistant Professor in 2019.

Areas of his academic interest include Children’s Literature, Young Adult Literature, Science Fiction, Popular Literature and Culture, Renaissance Literature and Art, Literature of the Romantic Age, etc.
